What are product templates?

Answer:

XcelPrinting has developed a selection of product templates to make it easier for designers to create print-ready files in various different design software programs. Product templates are downloadable files which help customers design print-ready files. Each template provides information on product size, layout, bleed, safety zone, and any folding or mailing guidelines.

Do I need to use a product template?

Answer:

No. If you are a designer, you should use whatever resources help you quickly create a winning design. However, if you don't use one of our product templates, we encourage you to take a little extra time to ensure that your files are print-ready before submission to XcelPrinting. Are product templates similar to stock designs?

Answer:

No. XcelPrinting.com product templates are intended to help designers quickly develop print-ready files, not to replace the process of creating a professional design.

What if a product template is incorrect?

While XcelPrinting.com strives to provide accurate product templates at all times, errors may occur on rare occasions. How do I delete layers in a product template?

Answer:

We need to know the software program you are using before we can provide instructions on how to delete the layer that contains the product template.

Question:

What if the size of my artwork is a different size than the template?

Answer:

If you want your artwork to fit into one of our product templates, you will need to resize your images by scaling them up or down proportionally to fit into a product template. You must submit the correct size for printing.
